The Shimano Twinpower XD is a development for saltwater spinning and built to withstand the harshest conditions such as cold, salt water, wind and dust. These characteristics also make it perfect for Hucho / Taimen fishing in winter. Thanks to the X Protect technology the reel is perfectly suited for such conditions. Equipped with an extra large crank knob for best grip even in cold temperatures and with high quality carbon brake discs for extra brake pressure. The Shimano Twinpower XD is designed as a pure spinning reel and therefore, unlike the Twinpower SW or Socorro, which are also suitable for jigging, it's much lighter in weight. Additionally the Twinpower XD is equipped with the innovative MGL rotor.
