Shimano high-end bait caster from 2012, Antares is the smoothest ever bait casting reel.

The new Antares employs innovative features to make it smooth and comfort for every aspect. The most noticeable feature is micro module gear system, which has twice the number of gear teeth than previous models, to drastically reduce the gearing noise. Brake is variable SVS Infinite centrifugal system, and you may adjust the centrifugal brake without opening side plate.

Adding to these two innovative features, Antares employs corn shaped level winder inner to reduce line friction in casting. Magnesium alloy G Free Spool 3 spool removes weight from spool to maximize casting performance.
