Traditionally used to tie Waddington flies for salmon and sea trout fisheries. Our tip: Match your Waddingon flies with the corresponding hooks, either X1BL, CS9BL or Sawada ST4. Recently, this model has also become very popular with steelhead fishermen, but waddingtons are the "foundation" of many modern steelhead patterns such as Intruder, Pick Yer Pocket, Trailer Trash and many more. A so-called trailer hook (e.g. AOS Octopus hook) is used for these patterns, which guarantees an extremely high number of bites.
