Mustad 9175 Tarpon - Hooks

Traditional tarpon flies are usually tied on regular-length saltwater hooks but hooking leverage is much greater with a shork shank hook. 
A short shank hook allows the point to dig in at a stepper angle, resulting in better penetration and more secure hookups. 
Need to be sharpened prior use.
