Details
Featuring an ultra-large, bell-shaped arbor, the Animas maximizes line retrieval speed while significantly reducing line memory. Its upgraded composite drag system delivers smooth, consistent stopping power in both fresh and saltwater environments. A lightweight canvas phenolic handle provides a rock-solid, tactile grip when wet, while the low-profile, anodized two-tone drag knob offers precise control during intense fights. With its maintenance-free spool release and corrosion-resistant construction, the Animas is built to perform for generations. Smaller sizes serve as your go-to everyday trout setup, while larger models pair seamlessly with heavy streamer rods.
Fly Reel Specifications
AOS TIP: The capacity specifications (backing) refer to standard Dacron backing. Using thinner gel-spun backing significantly increases the overall line capacity of the reel, which is especially beneficial when targeting strong fish.
