Tungsten beads are part of the basic equipment of fly tyers.
Tungsten beads have advantages over brass or lead: the weight is significantly higher. You give the nymph EXTRA weight, which causes it to sink faster towards the bottom. The diamond cut breaks the light more often and more strongly. Nymphs and streamers with Diamond Tungsten beads are therefore perfect in poor conditions e.g. with dusty water.

Tungsten is non-toxic and therefore harmless to our waters.
