The two sections (Große Erlauf Thormäuer I + II) reach from the "Schießwand" below the electric power station at Erlaufboden downstream to the Nestelbergsteg (footbridge at Nestelberg), (which is about 600m upstream from the Trefflingbach representing the border between sections I and II) as well as further downstream to the so-called Kollerreith below the mouth of the Hundsbach (district border between Nestelberg-Gaming and St. Anton at the Jeßnitz). The Trefflingbach is licensed all over its entire length. The length of the area without side brooks is 12 km, width 12 - 18 m. The river is of varying character and ranges among the most beautiful alpine rivers in Europe. Up to three quarters of the very section under our control are situated in the National Park of "Ötscher Thormäuer". The fish stock of the Grosse Erlauf comprises brown trout, rainbow trout and graylings. The catching tackle admissible is the fly rod with artificial fly. Day licenses are available from 1st May in restricted number.
